As someone who can't even eat near someone else whos eating fish, This diet is VERY restrictive for me. Thats okay, though, and I think I can manage with apples strawberries and oranges. But the vegetables? I'm scared. Do any of you have any that you use regularly and still have good losses? I'm thinking mushrooms, brocolli and vbrussels sprots would make this a lot more tollerable for me.

Oh, Also the bread, I swear i read somewhere that stoned wheat thins could be used. I couldnt find the nutritional info online though to see if theyre similar to melba toasts. any input?

No stoned wheat thins. You can have Melba and grissini but most of us do not eat them. Broccoli is one that some eat but not on original protocol. I ate a lot lettuce, cucumbers, and asparagus. Good luck!

My doctor said mushrooms and broccoli were ok. Don't remember about brussel sprouts. But try different spices! They totally change things up!

We eat spinach, tomatoes, and onions. Asparagus a few times, but it wasn't a fave, Oh, and cabbage, too. Boil it in the stock from roast and it's REALLY good!

I have also used zucchini with no problem. I make zucchini fries. Cut them in spears, sprinkle with salt and roast them on a heated pan(heat the pan while you prep veggies) under the broiler for 10-15 min until they get some color and soften up a bit. When they are done I sprinkle with pepper and italian seasoning. Great with a bruger patty or steak.

I caved and had a SANS soda last night and still posted a loss today (disclaimer: it's the first week for me so still in the easier losses phase, it sounds like, and there's no way of knowing what the loss would have been without it). It's a stevia soda with no additives, etc. http://www.bevreview.com/2011/10/12/sans-natural-diet-soda/

Also, not sure if it's a cheat, but the coffee beans are french vanilla and I'm averaging 1-2 cups per day. Nothing added to the coffee but the T of milk - still smells great, which helps cravings.

These recipe links make the diet seem far less restrictive (can't recall if I saw it here or on another HCG forum). I'm married to a foodie whose entire love language is food and cooking, so know first hand that sticking to something this restrictive will be tricky! The pinterest link is amazing. I'm trying the spanish chicken soup and chocolatte mousse this weekend!

Veggies I ate off protocol and didn't screw me up includes:

mushrooms, salsa (technically mixing veggies), zucchini, broccoli, bell peppers, various southwestern peppers, a tiny amount of shaved carrots. Other stuff includes Pam cooking spray and Walden Farms dressings

stuff I have heard others eat without issues includes the above plus: cauliflower, raddish, table cream instead of LF milk, popcorn in small amounts instead of breadsticks, coconut oil, brussell sprouts, artichokes, blueberries instead of strawberries

(not doing any of these now to get past my stall, but I have used them on other rounds with no stalls or slowing losses)
