View Full Version : Need some info about HCG and health issue

I don't really know anything about the HCG diet so here goes-anyone have a good place for me to start for info and also-a little about my situation: I have gained so much weight the last couple of years and health problems galore-goiter (since age 19), hyperthyroidism, psoriasis (although, that has been with me since I was 15), psoriatic arthritis (within last year), bursitis, gerd and so many other things going on they can't seem to figure out. I'm on beta blockers, anti-thyroid meds (of course I didn't lose weight like most people with hyperthyroidism-I gained), anti-inflammatory meds, methotrexate injections, toradol (as needed), each specialist only wants to focus on each problem (rheumatologist focuses on arthritis, endo focuses on thyroid, gm just doesn't care and tries to do the opposite of the specialists-none of them want to look at the big picture-on and on and on. I am desperate-I am so tired and in so much pain all the time. I know I would feel better if I could lose weight, but I am getting older (still only 42) and hurt so bad and I know some of the meds I am on are contributing to the weight gain. I have a physically and mentally demanding job and it is all I can do just to make it through the day anymore. What can I do? I'm sorry this is so long-I'm just to the breaking point and don't know where to turn anymore so I though maybe if I could find someone to talk with online I could get some of this off my chest and feel better. A lot of exercise is completely out of the question. I could probably swim, but no pool around that I could use regularly. I actually feel fortunate (I know it doesn't sound like it, haha), but I realize I have it good compared to some. I have been using the Lucalean body wraps on my belly and thighs for the last couple of weeks and have lost about 4" off my gut so far and about an inch off each thigh so I am somewhat encouraged and feeling a "little" better but still so far to go! What is the best way to go for low impact and fast results and is the HCG diet safe for me? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

Hi DaveandKaye, I just joined the forum tonight. I kind of feel your pain because I suffer from Fibromyalgia and arthritis in my hand and back. Strenuous excernise is definitely a no go because of the extreme pain it causes. I want to do the HCG diet because i think that getting back to my pre-illness weight will help ease the pain or at least lessen the flare ups. A good and healthy diet should help as well, I just need a jump start into a normal but habitual eating routine.

I go to my local gym that has an arthritis pool for classes. Its low impact movement in very warm water. Feels great and is very inexpensive. I did read on one of the threads that a pool or hot tub is not a good idea for HCG dieters because of the levels of chlorine and toxins in the water, so I will be giving up my classes. I plan to start the diet next week

As far as answering your other questions, I will let a more experienced member help you there.

Sorry you are feeling bad, I will help in any way I can

Hi Dave and Kaye and welcome!

First off you shoud google Pounds and Inches by Dr. ATW Simeons', you can print it for free off the internet. Read it and it explains the whole protocol and it is the one you should follow for best results. It is based off of injections but you can still do it using the hoemopathic drops you just don't stop using the drops during your period like you do the injections.

There are still a couple of places online youcan get good quality homeopathic drops from and I believe 1 place you can get the RX injections from. there are tons out there claiming they are selling real HCG when in fact there is none in them and therfore youwon't get the results and you will be starving yurself without HCG and following the 500 calorie diet. All homeopathic drops should say in the ingridients HCG 6x, 12x, 30x, 60x or they are not good HCG and please don't use them!

With all of the medications you are on though it might be wise to check with a Dr in your area that does HCG if you can find one.
