View Full Version : Cheated! How Do You Guys Do It!

I am on my vlcd day 6. I lost 6lbs already. I weigh myself in the morning and see the numbers drops, but when I get home from a hard day at work, I weigh myself again and saw that I gained 2lbs. That is very discouraging for me.

Can someone give me a specific daily menu on how to do the vlcd. I would appreciate it from breakfast, lunch, dinner and if you prepare a snack in between. Of course I am on P2. I heard it is easy, but I've been getting hunger pains.

Boy, maybe I am not doing it right. Need advice on how I can go by my daily routine day by day until I reach my 23rd day.
Are you following it to the "T" by eating the limited food menu, toothpaste, shampoo, lotion and cosmetic.

Any advice and suggestion would be so helpful to me. Thank you

I am, definitely no expert. Since June 19th; I have lost 18 pounds. My wife has been on it 2 times and has lost 52 as of this morning. Do not be surprised if your weight fluctuates by a couple of pounds during the day. Typically, you will have a 2.5-3 pound difference. Actually for fun, I have been weighing in the evening before bed and there is about a 3 pound diff by the next morning due to metabilization.

My wife does the baking soda for toothpaste, I do not. I drink coffee in the morning with a couple of drops of vanilla stevia (instead of cream), she drinks a glass of tea. An apple about 10 am; lunch is either chicken or tilapia (3.0 ozs) on or with a tossed salad with a sprinkle of italian dressing for flavor. Dinner is the other of either chicken or tilapia, green beans and possibly a salad. Another apple about 8 - 9 pm. Lots of Water. Good Luck. Today was my last day of drops, so I am a little nervous about weight gain in level 3.

One of the best ways to stay on Track is to have a great support group...I did my first round with 7 friends and we e-mailed each other daily and met at Starbucks every Friday night to share our experiances and challenges and cheered each other on for not cheating. Come to the Forums EVERY Day..Keep your mind on your goal constantly. This is very hard. You need to feel empowered every time you resist the urge to cheat....you can do ANYTHING for 40 days (or however long your round is)...every food you crave will still be there at the end of your round.

My day:

am: Black coffee
9:00: One apple (the biggest one I can find)
12:00- Lunch
Hamburger patty with Cucumbers soked in red wine vinegar OR a grilled chicken breast with the cucumbers (I like the cucumbers because I make them the night before and just grab and go)
6:00: dinner
Chicken nuggets in lettuce wrap (I put the recipe in the recipe section) OR Meatballs OR Chicken soup with cabbage OR grilled steak with Onions
8:00- Second fruit-either strawberries or an Orange
I only eat the grisini if I am making chciken nuggets...otherwise I do not eat it.

Tonight we are BBQing so I am putting my steak on the BBQ grill...and my onios (Use sweet onions)...YUMMMMMMMM

I cook all family meals using gloves...no oils or grease touches my skin.

This is my 4th round doing the HCG drops and I have lost a total of 90 pounds. The first two times I did the full 6 weeks and the second time, I was only on the drops for a month. This time around, I am only going for 3 weeks. I started my drops 9 days ago and have lost 15 pounds so far. :)

My menu for the day ususally is as followed:

Lunch: Shrimp, grilled yellow peppers or green beans, 3 Melba Snacks and an Orange.
Dinner: Baked chicken seasoned with garlic and onion Mrs. Dash, boiled and mashed cawliflower, 3 Melba Snacks and 5 strawberries.

Sometimes I eat a different vegetable or prepare something different, but that's mostly what I eat. I also make homemade lemonade with lemons, Pelligrino and stevia.
Other than that, I drink lots of water and tea.


As for cosmetics and lotions, I finally found products that are acceptable and don't dry out my skin or cause me to break out.

For skincare, I use all Clinique products. Clinuque products are all oil free so I use their moisterizers, lotion and recently started using their deodorant.


As far as make-up goes, I use everything BareMinerals. And for shampoo and conditioner and other hair products, I use Biolage.

For body wash and scrub I use Neutrogena Acne Free Body Wash and Body Scrub.

Hey there!!! You are doing great. I am on day 26 and it took me a solid week to figure out how to eat on the diet...then another solid week of losing, cheating and gaining, and relosing to figure out how much I wanted this to work for me.

I am only down 12lbs and it could have been way more. BUT....I am thrilled with the results!

I have not been great about all the extra stuff like lotions and skincare stuff. I stuck to my normal routine right down to my morning diet coke. So in my experience you can deviate a little but not with Food. Do that part right or you will gain weight back.

I am on day 12 and am down 8lbs b/c I had a cheat day which was drinking beer and eating everything in sight!:( I was going NUTS having to cook for my kids what they'd eat and me only having what's on the list. So I cracked...HARD! I feel guilty about it now and know this obviously works so I'm going to stick with it and actually get on the gazelle to do low impact exercise just to make me feel better. I want to lose at least 40lbs in the 45 day plan by the time I'm done with the drops so I have to get motivated! Believe me, you're not the only one who gets hunger pains or frustrated:) Stay with this site and we'll all help one another b/c I sure need to know that I'm not the only one going through these things ;D

I've pretty much kept this between one friend and my husband and have been finding it so hard to do! I broke yesterday with a bowl of cereal for dinner just because I missed frosted mini wheats and milk so much. But I agree, this forum is great, I've been reading for the past week just to get answers to all of my questions.

Well done on your progress so far :)

As for going out for lunch, you need to decide what is more important to you? Losing weight? Pretending everything is normal? You don't have to tell people you are on HCG, just say you're on a diet, and just order a small portion of protein. Or skip going out for lunch. Life will return to normal as soon as you have reached your goals :)

My hair dresser told me how she did it with friends... When they offered her something to eat, she would reply " I don't like that.". That way, if they saw her going for whatever it was they offered for lunch or dessert, she would feel kind of silly. Also, the power of suggestion helps... Meaning saying it aloud enough times, you will believe it. ( she did this with desserts since that was her major downfall because she loved chocolate.)

May be there is something wrong with your weight machine. Is it a digital one ?
Most of the digital machines lose accuracy after some time.
