Hi, all. I'm really glad to have found this group as you all seem like a wonderful source of support for one another. I have between 10 and 15 lbs I'd like to lose on this because I can't seem to get rid of them through my usual healthy paleo diet and regular exercise.

I am not normally a Debbie Downer, but I am in a bit of a panic after seeing my scale say that I've gained 15 lbs in 2 days. I know I ate a ton, and there is most definitely a lot of water being retained since I normally don't touch carbs and was a cookie/cake/muffin/donut vacuum for the last two days, but 15 lbs?? I'm so worried about what I am going to look like over the next couple of days when I am forced to leave the house and face the world. Thinking of all of the awful stuff I've stuffed down (HFCS, soybean oil, dairy, etc., etc.) is really upsetting me, too. I feel guilty for abusing the able body I was blessed with!

I'd mulled over whether or not to do this for months because of my fear of this phase (and putting the hcg in my body) and now I'm thinking I was right to hesitate. Maybe I should have listened to my gut.

Sorry to unload, pun intended! :)

Thank you to all who contribute here - your words are very educational and informative and I plan to refer my hcg friends to the forum!

I have eaten low carb for a long, long time. I have about 10-15 lbs I really want to lose, and I made sure I did both fat AND carbs for my loading days. Donuts, carrot cake, ice cream, cookies, muffins, etc. - things I don't normally eat AT ALL!

I've drank more fluid today, but according to my scale, I have gained 15 lbs at the end of loading day 2! I am FREAKING OUT! I have to be somewhere this weekend and I look like a dialysis patient or someone who has been put on steroids with all of this water retention. Did I just screw myself up royally?

I had read so much about improper loading because people were afraid to binge on forbidden stuff - I decided that if I was going to try this, I'd better do it correctly or not do it at all.

Please help! I am feeling really desperate here and trying not to have a panic attack. I have never had a panic attack before, either.

Holy cow.

DH and I are going away for the Canadian long weekend visiting friends and I'm on R1P2D14 and really do not want to cheat. Any suggestions on how to get around temptation besides staying home? I really love my glass of wine - any substitues for alcohol? Has anyone drank a few glasses of wine while on P2 of the diet. I read somewhere that it's ok to drink vodka and mineral water?? Is this true:confused:

Hey gang!
This is my first post in this forum - yay! So glad I found you all.

I read in another thread that some folks are using HCG Slimline, but since the price is so much cheaper, it raises a few questions :

1. How long have you been using this product?
2. How effective has it been?
3. What dose are you taking? (I've seen conflicting reports...)
4. How long does the 2oz bottle last you? (Saw a post that said only 2 weeks, even tho the website says 40 days!)
5. Any credit card problems with this site - is it secure as far as you can tell?

Thanks!!

So I just bought hcg drops from hcgbottle.com. They had 2 different kinds. They had regular drops which contained hcg 6x, 12x, 30x, 60x. And they also had hcg + amino acids which contains the same hcg, but also amino acids. It cost just a little more than the regular hcg. I bought the hcg + amino acids formula. However I've been thinking about it and am now wondering if I should have just bought the regular stuff. I'm worried now that maybe the amino acids might take away or hinder the hcg. Anyone know anything about this? When I bought it I was thinking I was getting the better of the two. Was I correct?
Thanks!!

Hi,
I lost 25 pounds on round 1 with the "good" HCG drops, but now am struggling to find them again. I just bought a bottle of HCG 1234 because my local store was unable to get the the "real" drops that contain HCG. It's so hard to know what you're getting online!! The bottle does not list HCG 6x, 12x, 30x, 60x, which makes me nervous. I am on R2P2D3 and have lost 4 pounds, but worried that I will not get the same results as before if there is no HCG. And what's the point then? Advice?

Not to mention the myriad of other apps out there.

Has anyone used any of apps listed above? Did you like it? Hate it? Find it useful? A waste of time? Are there other apps out there that you've tried?

Just curious.

Hi y'all!

I am jazzed about the HCG, and wanted to use a space to journal online.

A little bit about me -- I work at a Fortune 50 company in a high paced position. In 2008 I was a "slender" 205. I'm tall (5'8") so I was wearing a size 14 and felt really good about me. I got put onto a high stress project, long hours, travel, eating out, etc. and in a year's time stopped working out and started stress eating myself to about 230. We got pregnant over the holidays, and I was excited to give my DS (3 at the time) a lil sibby, but miscarried in Feb 2009. Long story short, in January 2010, my husband was killed in a car accident. I was about 240 at the time.

My DS and I are doing SO much better. We moved cities in April, so I'm living in the south now (and loving the sunshine). I got a new job (different division of my company). I feel like a whole new person! Going to the new office highlighted how out of shape, out of fashion, and out of myself I really am. I've never been this heavy and honestly had no idea I was this big. Obese was somewhat of a norm in the old office, so I fit right in in my knits and sweater sets and flat shoes. This new office is big city fashion! Unfortunately, I have 2 pairs of pants that fit me (size 20w) and I refuse to buy more. I have a few sweater sets and other pieces I wear to the office but I feel like I stick out like a midwest hick. In reality I'm coming out of the depression that held me down for the past 3 years. I see myself in a different light, and I want to transform myself to the honeybrown beauty and semi-fashion icon I used to be. LOL

We found a house in a neighborhood with kids. DS is almost 7 and he is just like his dad -- never meets a stranger. The first weekend at the house we knew all the kids on the street, and DS had playdates! One of the mothers is this amazing little dynamo who works at a medical clinic. We got to know each other over dinner, and later on we chatted over wine. She asked a few questions and essentially said "I can help you." The following week, I went to visit her in the clinic.

My blood pressure was high. (140 / 115) My weight was out of control (285.2). The last time I remember stepping on a scale I was 268 or so, so imagine my shock! The doctor asked me if I was under stress, and as I told her about my husband's accident, my son misbehaving in school, my weight, the move, my job, the house, the miscarriage... I cried. For the first time in months, I sat there and CRIED. (I'm teary now just thinking about it.) I left the office that day with a week's worth of syringes filled with HCG, a shopping list and sample eating plan, and more hope than I've had in at least 2 years.

So here I am.

Starting weight: 285.2
Height: 5'8"
BP: 140 / 115
Cycle 1 - Phase 2 (30 days?)
HCG Injections
B-12 shots 2x per week

Day 1 (load day): 285.2
Day 2 (load day): 284.0
Day 3 (vlcd): 283.0 (I took cascara sagrada the night of day 2 because I was SO BLOATED and uncomfortable)
Day 4 (vlcd): 278.5 (I was shocked as sh*t to see that number!)

As so many people are saying "inches, not pounds" I am going to take some strategic measurements tonight. My tummy is relatively flat, but my thighs? Oooh, I have thighs like fluffy pillows. I can already feel a difference in my slacks. I'd like to know how much change I'm experiencing and I want more than one way to track change.

Are any of you using an iPhone app to manage the diet? I see that there are a few out there - some quite spendy. I'd spring for one if there was enough positive chatter.

The ONE thing I'm most excited about is pulling out my size 14 clothes. I have some really sharp suits and blouses that make me feel like a powerhouse when I can fit them! Still 70 lbs away, but within reach. I've set up some mini goals for myself to keep me motivated!

Thanks for listening.

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited - I'm on Day 4 of Phase 2 of the HCG diet, and as of this morning I've lost 7.2 lbs. Granted, I started at 285.2, but this morning I was 278. What a jolt! I'm doing injections, not hungry at all (so far), and am not having problems drinking the ton of water.

I'm having a little struggle with planning meals, but I think it's because I didn't make it to the grocery store over the weekend, and haven't portioned food, etc. I spent last night looking at recipes online, so I have some ideas for the weekend... I just need to make it to the weekend! HA!

Anyhow, I have a few questions:

1. My doctor upped my protein to 6.0 oz, either because of my body type or level of activity. Will this stall my weight loss?

2. Can I use my juicer with this diet? I'd like to juice celery, cucumber and tomato then add spinach or kale in the blender to make a green juice. My doc didn't say anything about eating only 1 vegetable at a time, though I've read that in the forums. (I'll ask during my follow up tomorrow)

3. How do those of you with children feed them and stick to the diet? I have a 6 year old and want to feed him right, but don't want to snack on the foods I give him. Do your kids eat your HCG diet meals in different proportions?

4. Are you exercising at all? If so, what are you doing? Walking? Swimming? I love my zumba classes, but don't know if I will have the energy. I also don't want to burn muscle.

5. Seriously, can I put my face cream on in the mornings? I'm really really addicted to my moisturizer, and don't think aloe vera is going to cut it. I'm a brown skinned beauty, and my skin craves moisture! My doctor didn't tell me anything about not using lotion/cream, btw.

6. Can I use mustard and hot sauce? Those are the only 2 condiments I like, and last night I choked down the fish dry. (TOTALLY have to do a better job with meal planning) It was crying out for some yellow mustard and a little hot sauce!

7. What's the difference between the 30 day plan and the 43 day plan? How do you know the duration you should stay on the HCG during a certain phase?

Any other advice for the new girl? I am at the end of my rope with my weight; if this doesn't work, I'm getting surgery. I don't want to do anything so drastic, so I am really throwing myself into this wholeheartedly!

Thanks in advance for your responses!

Nathalie

Hello HCGers!
I'm on day 5 of VLCD.
Happy mothers day to those mommys!
I made chocolate delight today to treat myself as it is my first mother's day.. hehe
To those who have tried this before-- did eating the chocolate delight cause you to stall or gain?
Just wondering! Thanks in advance.
I WAS losing 2 lbs per day, and now the past 2 days it has been only 1 lb per day. still grateful!!
Just really don't want to stall my losses just because of some chocolate.
I haven't cheated so far and i feel that i'm doing pretty well. I feel really confident right now.
I don't get hungry really unless i stay up late watching movies, hours after dinner is the hardest part
SOO i try to eat my lunch as late as possible and my dinner as late as possible.
Thanks for listening lol excited to have a support group.
