So what is HCG and Weight Loss anyway?

HCG, a.k.a. Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin, is a glycoproteic hormone that is normally produced by trophoblastic cells of the Human placenta. Contradictory to the common perception that HCG is found only in pregnant women, HCG is actually present in both male and female, except that the amounts of HCG found in pregnant women are much larger.

The first report on the use of HCG for weight loss was published in 1954 by Dr. Albert T.W. Simeons. Through his treatment and research dealing with overweight patients, Dr. Simeons discovered that when taking HCG injections, patients were able to redistribute body with a low-calorie diet (500 calories per day) during the course of treatment. He also found that patients went through the low-calorie diet without experiencing headaches, weakness, hunger pangs or irritability, with the treatments of HCG for weight loss purpose. Therefore his patients tended to lose more unwanted body fat. In addition, weight maintenance after HCG treatment was more effective comparing to other simple dietetic approaches.

Former HCG weight loss treated patients reported they were more than satisfied with their obtained results: Their weight loss were faster than they experience on other weight loss programs, and noticeably reduced their body circumferences in the most conspicuous areas. Most importantly, HCG weight loss help them eventually adopt to a healthy diet and lifestyle, which makes maintainence much easier.
