Kevin Trudeau’s HCG Diet – Phase 2
This is the exact Dr. Simeons “weight loss cure protocol” as used by hundreds of thousands of patients around the world over the last thirty years with spectacular permanent results. The entire manuscript that describes this protocol entitled Pounds and Inches: A New Approach to Obesity, by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, M.D., is available for you to read in its entirety here.
THIS PHASE MUST BE DONE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A LICENSED HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONER!
Day One:
• Take an injection of between 125-200 units of hCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin) first thing in the morning.
• Drink one-half to one gallon of water throughout the day, ideally with coral calcium sachets.
• Gorge yourself and eat as much food as you can throughout the day.
• Do any of the items from Phase 1 as you choose.
Day Two:
• Repeat Day One.
Day Three:
• Weigh yourself immediately upon arising, after emptying the bladder, without clothes.
• Take an injection of between 125-200 units of hCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin) first thing in the morning.
• Drink one-half to one gallon of water throughout the day, ideally with coral calcium sachets.
• For breakfast have only:
— black coffee (organic preferred), or
— organic green tea, or
— organic Yerba Mate tea, or
— organic Wu Long tea, or
— organic chamomile tea.
— You may have as much as you desire.
• Throughout the morning drink as much organic green tea, organic Yerba Mate tea, organic Wu Long tea, and/or organic chamomile tea, and water as you desire. Always make your tea with pure water, never tap water.
• For lunch eat 100 grams (weighed raw) of grilled (no oil or fat):
— organic grass fed beef or veal, or
— organic chicken breast (skinless), or
— wild Chilean sea bass, or
— flounder, or
— sole, or
— halibut
• One large handful of one of the following organic vegetables:
— Spinach
— Chard
— Beet greens
— Lettuces of any kind
— Tomatoes
— Celery
— Fennel
— White, yellow, or red onions
— Red radishes
— Cucumbers
— Asparagus, or
— Cabbage
These can be eaten raw, steamed, grilled (without oil), or gently boiled. Do mix vegetables in the same meal.
• One small organic apple, or small organic grapefruit, or a handful of organic strawberries.
• You may season any of the food with the juice of half an organic lemon, white or black pepper, organic raw apple cider vinegar, sea salt, organic garlic, organic basil, organic parsley, organic thyme, organic marjoram, or any other organic herb. Absolutely no oil, butter, dressings, or anything else!
• Dinner:
— The same choices as for lunch. Do not, however, have two meals exactly the same in the same day.
• Black coffee, organic green tea, Wu Long tea, organic Yerba Mate tea, and organic chamomile tea can be consumed in any quantity as often as you wish throughout the day. You should drink at least one cup Wu Long, one cup Yerba Mate tea, and one cup chamomile tea each day.
• No medicines or over-the-counter non-prescription drugs should be taken. (Done under supervision of a physician.)
• No cosmetics other than lipstick, eyebrow pencil, and facial powder should be used.
• No creams, lotions, or moisturizers, or anything should be put on the skin.
• You must eat everything as described. Do not skip meals, and each meal must consist of the protein, the vegetables, and the fruit.
• You may eat the fruit in between meals instead of with the meal if you choose.
It is encouraged, but not required, that you do the following activities:
• Drink Eleotin tea three times per day, as the instructions suggest.
• Walk for one hour per day.
• Listen to stress reducing CDs daily.
• Use a rebounder as often as possible.
• Do yoga as often as possible.
• Sweat for twenty minutes in an infrared or regular sauna as often as possible.
• Get colonies as often as recommended by a licensed colon therapist.
• Get twenty minutes of sun daily as often as possible.
• Wear a Q-Link or E-Pendant, and use a Biopro chip on your cellular phone.
• Reduce exposure to air conditioning.
• Do not drink very cold beverages.
• Get one to three Thai massages a week. Thai massages are administered without lotions. You will be fully clothed and the massage consists of a series of assisted stretches. Do not take regular massages where lotions and creams are applied to your skin.
Day Four Through Day Forty-Five:
Follow the Day Three instructions every day for the entire course of treatment. In order to achieve permanent results you must continue the treatment exactly as described for a minimum of twenty-one days and a maximum of forty-five days.
Starting Treatment: Women should start the treatment immediately after their menses, or at least ten days before their next menses. During menstruation no injections are to be taken, but the diet is continued exactly as described. Injections are resumed immediately following the menses.
Duration: This phase must last for a minimum of twenty-one days, and a maximum of forty-five days. If you need to lose more weight after the forty-five days of treatment have been completed, you take six weeks off, eating normally with the exception of no sugar and no starch. You then resume Phase 2 for up to six weeks. If at that point you still need to lose more weight, you must take eight weeks off, eating normally with the exception of no sugar and no starch, and then resume Phase 2.
The Simeons “weight loss cure protocol,” as you can see, consists of a daily injection of hCG, combined with a very strict and specific food consumption plan. The specific foods used cause chemical reactions in the body, combined with the hCG to activate the hypothalamus into releasing the secure abnormal fat reserves causing dramatic weight loss without the loss of muscle or structural fat. The amount of food consumed is approximately 500 calories. The reason for the very low caloric intake is that the body will only release the abnormal fat reserves after it has burned the consumed calories. Interestingly enough, eating lower amounts of calories do not speed up the process. Eating smaller quantities of food actually stop the fat releasing mechanism. Dr. Simeons discovered that by changing the food, the fat releasing process is also slowed or stopped. For example, when Simeons added mushrooms or artichokes, even though they had the same or less amounts of calories, the fat releasing was slowed or stopped completely. This is due to unique chemical compositions in the food.
It is of the utmost importance for this protocol to work, you must strictly follow the exact procedures to the letter.
The Last Injection Day Injection: On the day you receive the last hCG injection you must follow the diet program exactly. For the next two days you also must follow the diet exactly. This is because your body is flooded with hCG and it should take two days for it to leave the body.
During the entire Phase 2 you should weigh yourself every morning at approximately the same time. Keep a daily record of your weight. You should also take front, side, and rear photos of your stripped down body on the day you start Phase 2. Take measurements of the thighs, calves, hips, waist, chest, back, and arms. Upon completion of Phase 2 take another series of photos and measurements. The weight and inch loss will be absolutely astounding The before and after pictures combined with the weight and inch loss are a vital key to motivating you to continue with Phase 3 and Phase 4. This will also start reprogramming your mind with the belief and mental image of the body you desire. This is a very important component as it will counteract the programming we have self-imposed, as well as the food company advertising brainwashing we have endured over the years.
During this phase you should lose approximately one pound per day. This will vary from day-to-day. Hunger will vary for each individual. Hunger pangs will last no more than five to seven days. The majority of people have no hunger pangs at all, even from the first day, or have mild hunger pains that last only one to three days. The more you did in Phase 1, in many cases, determines how long the hunger pains last. If you have severe Candida overgrowth, a clogged colon, or have taken large amounts of non-prescription and prescription drugs over the years, your hunger pains may initially be higher and duration slightly longer. The vast majority of patients, however, state that hunger pains are very mild or nonexistent. The major feeling that people deal with in the first few days of Phase 2 is a feeling of emptiness in their stomachs. This is quite different than hunger pains. Weighing yourself daily and seeing the spectacular results will keep your motivation high, allowing you to overcome any short-term hunger.
You may have many questions regarding this phase. You may read Dr. Simeons manuscript Pounds and Inches: A New Approach to Obesity here. In the question and answer section of this book I address the most common concerns. At the end of the book I also give you additional references for your review, as well as the names, addresses, and websites of clinics that are currently administering this “weight loss cure protocol.”
The most common question asked is that if a person just did this low calorie diet without the hCG injections, wouldn’t they still lose weight? Every legitimate double-blind study shows that when people eat this diet without the hCG injections they do, in fact, lose weight. However, they do not lose the problem area secure fat deposits. Their body is not reshaped. They lose muscle and structural fat. They have massive hunger and fatigue. When they stop the diet they immediately gain all the weight back, plus more! Those who do the diet with the hCG injections lost more weight than the other group, had no hunger or fatigue, and lost fat in the problem areas. Their bodies were completely reshaped. They did not lose structural fat and muscle. Most importantly, when they stopped the diet and hCG injections, they did not gain the weight back! Although there are critics and so-called experts that continue to debunk and discredit Simeons’ “weight loss cure protocol,” the hundreds of thousands of patients achieving these results, combined with the massive amounts of scientific documentation, double-blind studies, clinical studies and observations, are proof beyond a doubt that this is in fact the ultimate cure for obesity. This method has passed the test of time.
Once you have completed one or more six-week rounds of Phase 2 and have lost the weight and reshaped your body to your personal satisfaction, then it is time to go on to Phase 3.

I am on day 9 of the diet. I did not gorge as I should have on day 1 and 2. i am experiencing horrific hunger pains, weakness, and sweating. I feel at times I could pass out. What is happening? What can I do to avoid this? I am eating all the foods and drinking tea and water. Is this a drop in sugar levels and if so what should I do?
by cammie, on April 23 2009 @ 5:11 pm
stick with it. the pain will go away. just be patient i am on day 13 and feel no hunger at all. However, those first few day were awful.

Did anyone else gain weight with the gorge days? I started the hcg yesterday and I have gained 3lbs.
by Sarah, on May 16 2009 @ 11:10 pm
I have been on this diet for 6 days now. I gained 3 pounds the first day and 1/2 a pound the second gorge day! Then after my first 500 calorie diet day I lost 3 1/2 pounds since then I’ve lost 5 1/2 pounds with one day of NOT losing anything….. Total weight loss 9 lbs!!! Tomorrow will be a week! This diet is not for quitters….Be strong! You can do it!
by trista, on May 17 2009 @ 9:46 am
i have been on this diet for a week. excluding the fact that it made me start my period after not having one for two months i started two days after the injections started. but all together i have lost 7.4 lbs after i weighed this morning. and that is with a day of not losing because i had a major chocolate attack and couldnt resist. But i am hanging in there and am finding it easier and easier as time goes.
by Chris Copeland, on May 21 2009 @ 12:31 pm
Started on 5/9 at 253 lbs and am currently down to 239 lbs. That includes one night of totally breaking the diet and gaining 3 lbs because of it.
So stick with it and avoid messups.
Also I crave food, but am not hungry. Its supposedly the hCG, but really the meals dont seem small…

I’m new at the HCG as well. I begin tomorrow (6/15). I’ve been searching the internet for some help and guidance but I’m still finding myself nervous. If anyone has any advice and/or tips, can you please email me? I’ll also be checking for everyone’s comments for some helpful advice.
Thanks and congrats to everyone on their weight loss!

My husband and I both have been on the diet for over 4 months and have had good results BUT.. he has recently developed a heart flutter and was hospitalized for 5 days. The Dr’s thought he possible through a clot in his leg too and has had some complications. They seemed concern when they found out he was taking hcg and said blood clots are common with female hormones. Anyone else had any problems or concerns…lots of times Dr’s don’t like natural drugs so I take things they say with a grain of salt. Still…. I cked it out b4 we started the diet and really couldn’t find anything that indicated clotting or any really bad side effects. Has anyone else???????

I started the hcg diet on June 15th, and was so hungry that I stopped it, and gave up. I have started back up again on July 3rd, and am doing better with the hunger. How long can I continue with the diet, and the hcg still work inside my body? Should I do the 1 day per week of skipping the shot, so my body doesn’t become immune? I will be doing the shots for 30 days. Thank you.

I am on day 6 I weighed in at 257lbs. I gorged for the first 2 days and ate tell I eat no more. On the 3rd day I started the 500cal diet and to my suprise the meals are not small at all. on the fifth day I was down to 246lbs. I went to dinner with my husband and could not resist I weighed in this morning and had gained 3lbs. So you will gain if you break the diet its not worth it stick with it and you will lose the weight. I am going to continue but will never break the diet again.
by David in Arizona, on July 23 2009 @ 2:50 pm
Just started four days ago. I gorged for the first two days and I’ve lost five pounds so far…! I was 215lbs. and had a hard time with late night eating with my wife. Since we are both on the HCG diet together we’re holding each other acountable. I wish I found out about this a few years ago.
by Michelle, on July 23 2009 @ 4:07 pm
Hello everyone, I am so thrilled to report I am at 244lbs. The fat just seems to be melting away. So Far every morning I have lost a pound. When I broke the diet and gained 3lbs I did the steak and apple diet the same day I gained the 3 lbs and the next day I was back down to 246,like the day I broke the diet. I feel great and would like to tell anyone who’s skeptical to “Just Try IT” it will be worth it. The motivation for me is getting on the scale every morning seeing the number is less then what it was the day before.
by Kymee, on July 26 2009 @ 4:21 pm

by Andrea, on August 12 2009 @ 11:23 am
Hi. Just to answer some questions for some of the posts I have been reading. If you stall you need to do an apple day where you only eat up to 6 organic apples in one day. You are also supposed to keep your water intake low but the apples should keep you hydrated. I am doing this alone myself and I ordered my injections from Body Solutions RX. I am on day 12 of the VLCD and have lost 14 pounds.
by Andrea, on August 12 2009 @ 11:24 am
Oh Im sorry it’s only day 9. I must be ready to get off of this thing.
by karen, on September 2 2009 @ 10:58 pm
I have heard so much about this recently, but what are the side effects? What about women of child-bearing age…any risk there? Isn’t a 500 calorie a day diet dangerous?
by LVLP, on September 16 2009 @ 12:52 pm
I have been on the protocol for over a month now. Have you gone to the Forum page – lots of helpful info. The 500 calories a day is not dangerous as long as you receiving HCG while on the restricted diet.
by Brenda, on October 6 2009 @ 10:09 pm
I am on day 14, I did not have that much weight to loose, but have only lost 4 lbs, the past week I have lost only 1/2 lb and I’m wondering what to do? Should i just eat apples for a day as suggested? I feel really frustrated.
Thanks

I am on day three I gorged day one and two and today I start 500 calories. Today I weighed in and gained 2 pounds from gorge day 1 & 2 so I hope today is a good day for me. I have my meat weighed at home and my apples and some celery but I need to go get some cucumber and tomatoes because I think tomato with salt and pepper would satisfy my taste buds for sure.

I used hcg previously and lost about 20lbs. I was starving the whole time. Am going to do again in conjunction with phentermine. This is supposed to help a lot with hunger. The key to success is continuing to exercise and portion control after complete

A reputable pharmacy is http://www.pharmacyescrow.com You will buy the HCG AND the mixing kit for 23 or 43 days at that same site. It took less than 2 weeks to receive. Buy the one marked HuCoG when given a choice. It can be daunting to go through a pharmaceutical site without a degree, but stick with it. At checkout, it will ask for pharmacy prescription, just answer the questions and it will by pass through that. I think you pay a dollar or maybe 4 dollars for one of their recommended pharmacists to approve, base on your weight or something. YouTube had a couple of good mixing videos, choose one with 5 stars. I am on day 4. Feel empty and want to eat, just cause I want to eat! But that is why I am overweight, right? Not starving. Lost the initial gorge weight plus one pound. After reading what happens when you cheat, I am not planning on it. But this is right up my alley, just give me the plan, tell me what to do for the duration, and I’ll do it. Too many variables and I get discouraged at trying to make the right choice. I’ll check back with progress.
by Kris Cannon, on January 10 2010 @ 4:41 pm
PS Be sure you are eating only ONE vegetable at any given meal. Onion is listed as a vegetable, so no tomato AND onion AND garlic. Onion is not considered a spice. At least that is how I am reading the diet on Inches and Pounds.
by Kris Cannon, on January 10 2010 @ 4:45 pm
PSS, I notice a discrepancy in the food on this site and the original manuscript. Oranges are not in the original manuscript, just a thought…

I started the injections yesterday, and this was my 2nd gorge day, and supposed to start the low cal diet tomorrow, but got my period today..not sure what to do…I read it said to not start until after period, but I already had 2 injections..any advice would be greatly appreciated…thanks!

I started the HCG Diet on the 14th of January – I’m on day 10 (Day 8 of the VLCD). I am 5’7 and started the diet at 159.2 lbs after the 2 day binge. I am currently down to 150!!! 9.2 lbs lost!!! This diet is hard but if you stick to it, the scale shows you the results. My goal is 135-140. I’m excited to see what happens in the next 20 days. Good luck to all!
by Ali, on January 23 2010 @ 10:42 pm
I have been on the diet for 7 days. I gained 2 pounds on my gorge days and have lost 10 since. My main concern is the next phase after the 30 days of injections and also the time after that. I am concerned about the results if I eat “normal”, not crazy, when we are done. I hear so often about doubling the gain after a diet etc. Anyone have any thoughts or heard anything? I don’t want to avoid food afterwards, just eat portion controlled and enjoy life! Thoughts! Thanks and Congrats!

I have done the diet a few times,,loosing about 25 lbs..then during the weeks off ( 6 or more ) i gain some back..my first time i gained almost everything back.. did not understand the 3 days without injection but still eating 500 cal..at the end of the diet.. so i am thinking it was why it did not work as good..then did it again worked good,, untill I went vivit my son, and he did not have a scale and i gained 9 lbs back could not tell what food made me gained it back..then gain a few lbs back during Christmas,,now i stated the diet again..hopefully i can be more organised this time and figure out what food makes me gain back..i was 203 lb when I started the first time,,now i am 174 lb and trying to get down another 20 lbs I hope..i have a hard time to loose..never lost a lb a day.. usually it is .4 to .6 per day .. lucky you guys that can loose 1 to 2 lbs a day.. it still better then other diet where you loose maybe a lb a week..anybody have suggestion to keep the weight off permanently??

I am on day 29 and have lost 28 pounds. I have some days when I have lost up to 3 pounds and some when I have gained 2. I am glad with my overall weight loss but those days that I gain are very hard to handle!
by Forreal50, on April 8 2010 @ 8:12 am
I have been on the diet for 7 days. I did gorge the first 2 then have stuck to the 500cal. I have lost 6 pounds with gaining 1 on the gorge days. I go to the gym 3 days a week and do 45 minutes of cardio with weights. Today I had to eat a melba toast before heading off to the gym. I read the article above again and kick myself. I need to focus and stay on this dies exactly how it says. I also just noticed that I am not supposed to eat the same 2 meals in a day. Woops! I like chicken breast and fresh green beans with dried apricots. Oh well. I will change this starting today. Stay with it and tell me your thoughts.
by Marianne G, on April 16 2010 @ 6:54 am
I’m on day 3 today. Did my gorge with a 1/2 lb gain. I did this diet when it first came out 40 years ago and it did work very well. Of course, I went to a Dr. to get injected, and as I recall it was a once a week injection. So this self injection is daunting at times. I do have a few questions though. Some sites allow melba toast or grissini others don’t and mixing more than one vegetable at a time is ok on some not on others, even two or three fruits per day. I would llike your opinions on these three questions as I feel in their own way they will directly impact the reslluts. Thanks!!

12th day, down 9 pounds – my naturopath said I could graze on vegetables all day without limit but lots of tomatoes and 2 large apple/day can bring cals up to over 1000/day. Orig diet cals for just ONE veg each meal, a handful. Any experiences or knowledge about this? Also do drops really work as well as shots?
by dayna, on April 17 2010 @ 10:49 pm
I have been on hcg for 3 weeks and have only lost 10 lbs. I am vegetarian so I do not eat meat at all and the diet forbids other protein sources. This diet is not for people like me… FAT VEGETARIANS!
by GLS, on April 21 2010 @ 10:21 pm
The real key is to prepare both mentally and physically to start. Set your start for maybe a week out and in the interim study the diet foods and rules and prepare mentally. I put it off for 2 months before starting cause I thought it would have the same outcome as all my other dieting projects.
If a “Dr.” tells you to graze all day and have all the veggies you want …… read the rules. If it is different from the rules than don’t listen to that advise. Dr. Simeon has this down to a precise chemical reaction. Don’t try to change it.
Be very prepared and only have the foods listed in Phase 2.

I started HCG drops 4/15/10, I am on day 8. I gained 3 during day 1&2, and have since lost 8 pounds. I am stuck this week with only loosing a half pound and today nothing. I just learned I can’t eat the same thing for lunch and dinner so will correct that. Otherwise I am doing everything else the same. I am at 152.6 and want to get to 134. Any suggestions?

I started the HCG Homeopathic drops on April 21, 2010. The first 2 days were my gorge days and started with the VLCD on 4/23/10 and have already lost 7 lbs. My chiropractor sells them and the diet is a bit different from a lot of the things I am reading online, but it is working. I am hoping to lose 30 pounds.

On HCG to lose about 10 lbs. have lost 8 and am getting very hungry and weak. may be I have finished with those fat stores. So as Simeons says, am going on about 800 calories to finish the 21 days of drops. PROBLEM: I am going on a very vigorous 6 hour hike on Sunday. I believe I should load on Saturday with healthy proteins and generally 3 good meals, take adequate food for the hike, then re store and regroup Monday and Tuesday, then resume 500 calories if wt is gained. Really need help here as I am weaker on the diet. please respond.

Hey Dayna,
Don’t know if you check back here or not, my husband and I are overweight vegertarians as well… we have been on the hcg diet for 26 days, my husband has lost 26 lbs and I have lost 17.4. We have been eating non approved protein…boiled eggs-one whole and two whites, or protein drink with 18-26g protein, 0-.5g fat and no sugar (biochem, bluebonnet…blue bonnet even has a vegan version), or morning star farms chicken strips, etc. I look for the lowest fat items and try to keep fat grams below 3.
Seems to be working well for us.
I don’t know if it makes any difference but we don’t eat apples very often, usually 1/2 a grapefruit in the morning, a protein and veggies for lunch and supper. plenty of water and tea…the water seems to be very critical, must have at least 1/2 gal. the days I didn’t drink enough water I did not lose anything! (the liver needs water to dispose of fat properly).
I hope you read this and it gives you encouragement…

Since you are not suppose to use any topical oils, what specific product brands are everyone using for shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, soaps, toothpaste, and makeup?
by Luanne, on May 30 2010 @ 1:07 pm
MY question is the following: No sugar no starch no white flour………I have cheated on this diet with sugar and I know that it stalls the progress that I could have made. Does anyone know why? How can anyone be on this diet and never eat sugar ever again? My doctor told me that once I get to my goal weight then I can have a cheat day once a week. So, on the other 6 days I have to eat only what is allowed on Dr. Simeons Diet. I continued on phase 2 because I lost 8 pounds and did not reach my goal weight. Maybe I would have reached it if I did not cheat. Any thoughts?

I started drops yesterday. day two of gorging and i feel GROSS! i am swollen and sloshy and stuffed feeling. going to continue my body cleansing throught the diet to get the bulk off my upper belly/intestines. i will not have a scale until this afternoon so hopefully no big deal not weighing the first and second mornings. i had a total shock from a depo shot and gained 45lbs following delivery of #7. i am trying to get this out of my system. i am required to be on a prescription medication, does anyone know if this will cause problems with the diet?

for luanne, i think the idea is not NEVER eat those things again, but rather limit them to occasions instead of a regular part of your diet. our diets are very abnormal compared to what we were designed to eat. my family eats from whole foods and we avoid pepackaged food. on the weekends, we might have a little ice cream, once in a while. also, once you have eliminated these foods from your diet for a significant amount of time, like on the diet, you will not desire them any longer. your body will find junk food too harsh and they will not taste good to you.

Round 1, I lost 20lbs and 21 inches. I kept the weight off with no problem at all for over 6 weeks, and now I’m just starting round 2 and hoping to lose 7 more lbs to reach my final goal. Today is day 1 of vlcd. Every night on this diet is like Christmas Eve for me, going to bed early to hurry and wake up to see what the scale has for me! This is my miracle diet. I LOVE IT!

I am on day 5 of the HGC Protocol, and I have lost 11.4 lbs. It was surreal to look at the scale this morning! What a miracle. I have still been experiencing some hunger pains. I’m a little nervous that i’m maybe missing something? Please, someone evaluate me: i drink green tea and other herbal teas all morning, then for lunch and dinner, i alternate between beef/cucumbers/strawberries/kavli crisp bread and chicken/celery/apple/melba toast. One day i took my meals to a friends house for the day, but forgot my starches…turns out i lost 5 lbs that day. Is that normal? Also, can I take my supplements during the hcg? I havent been, but was wondering. Thx for whoever answers my questions.

For Miranda – your eating and drinking plan sounds great. The starches are not required on the diet. I would try skipping them again to see if your weight loss is greater on days you don’t have starch. Weight will fly off for the first week or two, then slow down. Most women’s overall averages are .75 pounds per day. Men lose more. Make sure you drink water throughout the day. You should be drinking your weight in ounces.
I was on hcg for 30 days. I’ve lost 20 pounds. I probably would have lost more if I hadn’t cheated over the weekend. I need to rev up my willpower for the next round. Today is my first day without the hcg. Two more days of 500 calories, then I can start adding some things in. Then on to round 2.
The clinic where I go has a support meeting every week and I’ve learned that there are a lot of things that can hinder your weight loss. The most important thing is not to use ANY oils. Most of the products out there have oils in them. I had to get new makeup, baby shampoo (mineral oil is ok), deoderant, etc. Try to use mineral makeup. There are organic products made from coconut oil that are ok (that oil doesn’t have an affect on the hcg). Make sure your vitamins don’t have added sugar or oils in them. Also, around ovulation or menstration, women may not lose any weight or may lose slower than normal. that’s ok, the weight will come off. Try to find a liver support supplement w/out any additives.
I was very skeptical about this diet and researched it throughly. It’s not for the weak. You have to be determined and dedicated and committed to following the protocol exactly. I cheated and gained a pound back, but who knows how that affected the weight loss afterwards. I could have lost more if I hadn’t cheated.
Hang in there. This is a short program compared to others. Picture yourself as thin as you want to be and keep that image in your mind when you crave something or want to give up. I LOVE that my clothes are baggy, that I don’t have a double chin anymore and that I can see my waist! That is better than anything could taste!

Kim – thank you so much for your reply. It helped a lot! I have already swtiched all my toiletries to organic/natural and my makeup to mineral (and i only wear it on sundays). The only thing left to check is if my vitamins have oil or sugar in them, then i can decide whether or not i want to take them while on hcg. I have a lot of weight to lose, so I have yet to experience looser clothing, but with 15.4 lbs lost as of this morning – Day 7 – I am pleased and excited! Not to mention, I no longer feel bloated or have heartburn! Those are mini miracles in themselves! Thanks again!

Hi, im interested in trying this program, but I happen to take thyroid medicine any one else out there like me?

Hi there…day two of gorging. Holy Cow I feel disgusting. I am a consistently healthy eater with about 15 lbs of weight that refuses to go away despite healthy eating habits and regular exercise. Hopefully this will be the change I need. Anybody else have experience loosing a small amount of weight? Pros, Cons?

I have been on this program for 9 days, and in the first few days lost famously! The first day I lost 3 pounds, and by day 6 had lost 9.5 pounds….however, then my weight loss came to a standstill, literally, where for 4 days my weight was exactly the same. So I took a deep scan of what I’m doing…I THOUGHT I was supposed to be taking 5 oz of meat at each meal, and had bought LOTS of meat and divvied it up into 5 oz portions and put it all into the freezer…turns out, 100 g is actually 3.57 oz!!! Silly me…and, nowhere in MY program from my doctor, did they say HOW MUCH vegetables to eat, so I was eating to satisfaction. Here, it specifies ‘a handful’ of each vegetable. Thanks for that information! I’ll go on the “apple day” tomorrow, a non-injection day, to get my system going again, then get on the program the way it’s supposed to be done, and back to true weight loss! This is a great program, and I’m looking forward to great progress this summer! ~K~

Hi I am trying this for the third time. I had to much hunger and quit. I took better pictures of myself this time and followed to a “T” no cheating not even a crumb. I know now that that’s is key follow exactly and drink enough water. it works. I’m on day 11 I’m not hungry and I have to force my self to eat the food. I started at 172 Lbs and this morning I weigh 159 lets hope this keeps up. I have had craving when my family eats in front of me and when I cook lasagna, other meals for them and I don’t cheat it tells me something is really working.
Good Luck to all of you keep strong you are worth it!

@ krystal I am on Thyroid for Hypothroidism. My HCG Dr. has increased my dose to two grains or 120 units of Armor.
I did my increase a week before starting the HCG so as to not make too many big changes all at once. My Dr believes it’s very important to have a properly regulated Thyroid before starting HCG as to maximize the weight loss potential.
As of today R1P2D10 I have lost just over 11 pounds and doing great. No side effects or hunger, just a longing for food but I know I don’t NEED it because I’m not hungry!
This is AMAZING and I’m SO happy I decieded to give it a try!!!!! <3
I use 20 units of HCG in an insulin syringe every morning.

by Evie, on July 24 2010 @ 5:32 pm
I am on day 34, and I have lost 25lbs. Currently I am at a solid rate of 1/2 per day. One day I had a cheat day, and I gained a couple of pounds, but as soon as i resumed the program the next day, I lost the lbs that i gained from the cheat day. I really like it. It is the first thing to really work and give me any kind of hope in a long time. One good tip for plateus: I was stalling out at one weight and to get it moving again, i drank water and green tea all day, and snacked on low sodium all natural beef jerkey. For some reason that kicked the progress right back into high gear….just sharing…
by Evie, on July 24 2010 @ 5:34 pm
Oh, sorry, I was trying to say i am losing 1/2 pound per day right now. every day i am down a half of a pound…better than gaining, which is what i was doing before hcg.
by susan j, on July 25 2010 @ 4:57 pm
Yes Marina I too have low back pain and was wondering the same thing. Also very tired and weak. I am on day 12. following the diet to a T. Anyone else and what may be causing the problems?
by susan j, on July 29 2010 @ 7:23 pm
Marina just figured out what helps my lower back pain. Lots of water the recomened amount of 1/2 to 1 gal a day. Cant do the 1 gal but did increase to about 1/2 gal. The increase in water intake also lessened my fatigue. Go figure something that simple.I also realizrd it flushes out the uric acid caused by the high protein intake. And flushes out the liver and kidneys.

This is my first go round. Doing okey. My question is how long do I have to wait before I can go on the 500 cal diet again? I am on day 17. So how soon can I start the 500 cal diet with the hcg again????? Do I have to go on the 3rd phase first and wait 3 weeks??? I’ve been reading all the info from Dr.Seimons and Kevin Trudeau and I am confused. How many calories are you supposed to eat on phase 3 and can you mix your vegies ?
by lyndsay, on July 31 2010 @ 10:54 am
So its been almost 20 days on the Hcg diet and Ive lost 10pounds already. I have cheated for the last two days…drinking eating sugar and carbs at night and have stayed at the same weight. I know im prob just having a diet stall but i dont mind staying at this weight. Craving a bagel…just dont want to gain

my niece is in the hospital recovering from a blood clot. she’s in her late twenties and has been on the hcg diet for a few months. doctors say it could be from the shots!
by DK, on August 13 2010 @ 4:34 pm
I started the diet in Feb 2010 and lost 25 pounds within the 40 day period. I have managed to maintain the weight this entire time. It is important for me to closely monitor sugar and starch as it causes me to add a pound or two overnight of water weight. When that happens, I follow with a steak day and the weight evaporates. This has been an awesome program. I reduced 4 sizes. All of my friends and co-workers are amazed and inspired. It’s really miraculous. Good luck to everyone.

my fiance both have done this diet. this is my second time around. the first time i lost 25, and my fiance lost 30! i feel amazing but i still would like to be down to my pre-baby weight. so i have about 16 more i want to lose. i really think you HAVE to do the gorging, and im not really sure why people dont. i dont ever really feel that hungry, just bored with not being able to be creative with my food. this is really unlike any other diet. but i guess its worth it, im just not feeling as motivated this time. i have really intense cravings, but i have never cheated and dont think i ever will. ive heard too many horror stories. but some days, i dont lose weight and im following it perfectly and i dont understand. if i accidentally ate 10 more calories than i was supposed to, how does that make me not lose weight or gain a pound?! im eating 500 freakin calories!!! anyone else have this problem?
by DK, on August 16 2010 @ 8:31 am
At times when I have plateaued, my doc suggests I have an apple day, which is a day where you eat only five apples spaced evenly through the day. It actually isn’t as bad as it sounds. I take blood sugar support pills to help with the cravings. I also find that I have less cravings, by far, when I eat cold-water fish vs chicken or beef.

I am on Day 6, Ph 2, and am down – 7.2 LBS! However, I have stomach cramps after eating. Anyone else have this problem or know anything about it?
