HCG Diet and Blood Sugar Issue

By admin 1 Comment

Many people new to the HCG diet may be concerned about how the diet affects one’s blood sugar levels. This is especially true for people who have existing issues with blood sugar control like those individuals with diabetes. Is HCG diet safe for someone that has diabetes? Further, is the diet plan something that can help everyone balance their glucose levels? Here we will examine the potential effects on blood sugar that the HCG diet may induce.

First, we must examine how the HCG diet plan affects the human body. HCG is a special hormone that is found in the human body. This hormone can reduce one’s appetite, improve metabolic rates and processes, and help a person drop pounds quickly, provided the dieter also maintains a very low calorie diet consisting of no more than 500 calories each day. Normally, a very low calorie diet results in a significant drop in one’s blood glucose levels. What’s more, since you will be eating a limited number of foods of a specific type, if you have consumed a lot of sugary foods or high complex carbohydrates in the past, your blood sugar levels will likely decline the minute you stop doing so. Thus, the initial first stages of the diet will probably induce a decline in blood sugar levels.

When you are taking HCG drops or you are using HCG injections each day, your hunger cravings are curbed and your metabolic rate is balanced. This means your body will begin to turn to your fat stores for needed energy; this is a process that is identified as Ketosis. The HCG diet is known as a Ketogenic Diet plan; when you begin using up fat stores instead of consumed calories, the body burns off fat, generates molecules identified as ketones and these ketones are utilized by your body as an energy source instead of the energy you would naturally derive from high complex carbohydrates and sugar intake. Bear in mind that a change in sugar levels may produce mild side effects such as fatigue and headaches which prove the most common. They are temporary and subside quickly.

Within 48 hours of starting the HCG diet, your body enters into a state of ketosis which permits the body to utilize ß-hydroxybutyrate and acetoacetate, two types of ketones to supply energy to your kidneys, heart, and other major organs. This, in combination with the 500-calories-per-day diet is what causes you to lose the weight you want to shed. For an average healthy individual, a change in one’s blood sugar levels should not prove to be problematic; in fact, it can prove amazingly beneficial. If however, a person has diabetes, he or she will want to discuss with the doctor the idea of using HCG products before engaging in the diet. It may be necessary to closely monitor one’s sugar levels during the course of the plan. Read more about HCG Diet and Diabetes…

HCG Recipes: Great Salad Dressings for the HCG Diet

By admin Leave a Comment

The moment you decide to utilize the protocol in the HCG diet plan, you will find the acceptable diet food list is fairly limited. However, you can get really creative with some of the foods you are allowed to eat by trying out various recipes. Recipe types on the HCG diet plan include full meals and special recipes for salad dressings as well; if you find some tasty recipes for salad dressing you can quickly improve the taste of an otherwise bland salad offering. Thus, choosing great salad recipes ensures you will enjoy what you are consuming and you will not begrudgingly consume the diet foods you are allowed to eat. Here are a few recipes you can put together yourself while partaking of the very low calorie diet plan in the HCG regimen.

You can make a tasty citrus dressing for your salads if you desire; you can add a quarter-cup of apple cider vinegar to a single cup of water, a single package of stevia natural sweetener, and a tablespoon of lemon. Finish the recipe off with one-quarter teaspoon of fresh garlic powder. Put all of your ingredients in a bottle and shake it well. You can keep the product fresh in the refrigerator and the latter recipe makes a total of six servings.

Instead of opting for a store-bought Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing which is likely loaded with unhealthy additives and preservatives, you can use acceptable foods and spices on your HCG list to make your own. You can make a Balsamic Vinaigrette that includes balsamic vinegar, fresh thyme, water, pepper, salt, garlic powder, and basil. If you are refraining from salt you can use a salt substitute or simply do away with the salt in the recipe all together. By mixing one-quarter cup of balsamic vinegar with two teaspoons of water, two tablespoons of freshly dried thyme, a single tablespoon of basil, a quarter-teaspoon of pepper and garlic powder in a glass bottle, you will have a lovely, fresh vinaigrette for your salads. Just put all of the ingredients in a bottle and shake well; this will give you enough for six to eight servings and, again, you can store it in the refrigerator to maintain its freshness.

There are many ways to make exceptional salad dressings for use on the HCG diet plan. You can search online for free recipes. You may even want to start your own recipe book by creating a collection of all the salad dressing recipes that you enjoy. You can also invest in a recipe book specifically designed for HCG dieters as well: it will offer you information on how to dress up and diversify your meals with tasty delights.

Considering a Diet That Sustains Your Fast Weight Loss

By admin Leave a Comment

If you plan on utilizing any kind of diet, whether one that relies on HCG supplements or any other kind of weight loss regimen, you will have to give some serious thought about the sustainability of the diet in question. The sustainability of a diet is your ability to stick with the plan for the long term. More than a mere fad diet where you end up yo-yo dieting or you end up losing just a few pounds, if you want to lose a lot of weight you already know you have to commit yourself to the diet for the long haul. However, your “willpower” may not be enough. In fact, if you use willpower alone you will likely fail at losing the amount of weight you want to drop: this is because the diet’s sustainability must be ascertained too.

When it comes to losing weight the fact is that the faster you can lose the weight the better off you will be. The reason that a fast weight loss plan proves successful is that you will have to partake of the diet for a shorter period of time. What’s more, your weight loss goals are more rapidly realized the faster you shed pounds. If you can actually see that what you are doing in terms of dieting is really working, it will cause you to become more dedicated to the program than your willpower can do alone. Further, as you shed pounds and people begin to notice, your confidence will soar and you will gain that “feel good” euphoria; the better you feel about yourself, the more you will look at your diet as something advantageous instead of something that you have begrudgingly committed yourself to doing.

It is clear that a sustainable diet must include rapid weight loss; to that end, HCG homeopathic drops or injections can help you lose weight very fast: as much as one to two pounds every day. The HCG diet is one that involves a very low caloric intake equaling 500 calories daily. One may wonder how such a diet can be considered sustainable with so few calories; in truth, when using HCG supplements your metabolic processes are improved while your hunger is simultaneously curbed.

Basically, the supplements used in the HCG diet ensure that you can get your mind off hunger and focus on the things you should eat, like the foods offered on the restricted food list. Thus, an HCG diet proves more easily sustainable for dieting over longer periods of time. When you use HCG products you will find that remaining committed to your diet becomes an easier endeavor overall; this is a key ingredient in a successful, sustainable diet plan.

Can You Eat Eggs On the HCG Diet?

By admin 2 Comments

If you are working on losing weight via the HCG diet plan, you are restricted in the types of foods that you are permitted to eat during the diet. One may wonder if eggs are on the restricted food list. In addition, you may also wonder if, in the event eggs are on the restricted list of foods you can consume, what benefit do they offer to the dieter and how should the eggs be consumed. Here we will examine if you can eat eggs while dieting using HCG protocol and how their consumption offers dietary advantages or disadvantages.

Some dieters will tell you that eggs are an acceptable food on the HCG diet plan and other individuals will argue the opposite. In truth, it is okay for you to eat eggs as you diet, provided you adhere to certain rules. First of all, no matter how much you enjoy eggs they are not a food that should be consumed on a day-to-day basis. You will want to eat eggs on an occasional basis only. Moderation is the key ingredient to a successful very low calorie diet supplemented by HCG homeopathic drops or HCG injections.

Basically, two to three times weekly is more than enough in terms of egg consumption on the HCG diet, and if you suddenly note a stall in weight loss, the first thing you will want to cut back on is the eggs you eat. Further, you must keep in the back of your mind that each egg is 80 calories if the yolk is included. If however, you consume eggs without the yolk, the egg whites are only 12 calories each; when on a very low calorie diet every calorie counts.

In terms of egg quantity, you will have to consider the proteins you are consuming. The HCG protocol allows for you to eat as many as four eggs in a given day, if and only if the eggs become your primary source of protein for that day. Further, you can consume three of the eggs without yolks and a single egg, yolk included, is permitted during your meal. Essentially, the eggs you eat can be a lunch/dinner selection that serves as your required protein intake. If you want an egg for the morning meal, you can eat a single egg, with or without the yolk, cooked or boiled. If you do, you will want to cut out additional calories and forego breadsticks or Melba toast.

When you do eat eggs, in most cases you will want to forego actually consuming the yellow yolks too. As with many diets, the whites prove healthier than the yolks in all instances. You can invest in an egg separator that will easily help you remove the yolks and leave you with the healthy egg whites only. You can also carefully crack the egg open allowing only the whites to pass through the cracked egg shell and leaving the yolk inside the shell for disposal.

What if you cheat during phase 2 of the HCG diet?

By admin 23 Comments

HCG diet is a powerful, yet very strict diet. The calories that you are allowed to consume on the HCG diet protocol is no more than 500 calories a day. And the diet has very strict dietary restrictions especially during Phase 2. If you cheat during VLCD phase, it will normally set you back 2 to 3 days and cause stall or even weight gain.

The first week of Phase 2 may be the most difficult time for some dieters. Although lower food intakes already satisfying your body needs since the HCG is mobilizing abnormal fat stores as your source of energy, you may still feel hungry or deprived emotionally and crave for foods that are not allowed on the HCG diet. If you are not exactly eating the right HCG diet food, consuming more than 500 calories per day, or cheating on oily foods or unhealthy snacks, you allow your body to store unwanted body fat instead of burning it.

But don’t worry, cheating is not the end of world on the HCG diet. It happens sometimes as our minds overpowers our body. It is most important to pick yourself up and not give yourself such a hard time. Get back on track right after the cheating happened and do not indulge yourself in the thought that you already cheated. Cheating should not necessarily mean failing on the overall diet and it needs to be ensured that the cheating will only happen once.

The best thing you can do after cheating on the HCG diet is to stay with the diet protocol for the rest and make sure that you will not cheat again especially during the Phase 3 (Maintenance) after you finish the HCG shots or drops. Maintenance is a very critical time during the HCG protocol because it somehow makes or breaks as far as keeping your weight off. You don’t want this to be just another failed diet where the weight comes back as soon as you put something fattening in your mouth. Make sure you do maintenance right and don’t cheat.

HCG Diet is like the rules and regulations that you are supposed to follow. Just make sure you are doing the right thing and put effort to see the best result. Once you successfully made it, have lost and reshaped your body to your personal satisfaction, you will understand every step on the HCG diet is a step towards a healthier and happier life.
