If you are on the HCG diet plan, you have to be very careful about your cosmetic selections and the use of beauty enhancing products. Certain creams, ointments and oils can actually cause you problems when you are trying to get rid of excess fat. Dr. Simeons clearly stated “fats, oils, creams and ointments applied to the skin are absorbed and interfere with weight reduction by HCG just as if they had been eaten.” While such products may do wonders for the appearance of your skin, it can counteract the efforts you are making through HCG diet.

For the maximum HCG weight loss, you will want to stay away from skin care products containing any kind of fat. Absorbing fat through the skin or eating it amount to the same thing when you are on the HCG diet plan. The HCG diet is a very concise, precise dieting plan and it has to be conducted with the utmost precision. Your body will be super sensitive to fats so anything that you use that is cosmetic or for the skin must be absent of fats and oils.

Oil-Free HCG Diet Skincare

Certain cosmetics are allowed on the HCG diet. Not to worry, you can still use blushes, body lotions, eye make-up remover, face cleaners, face moisturizers, foundations, lip gloss, and eye shadows, provided that you choose the right brands that are fat and oil free. Take a look at some of the HCG diet friendly options:

Soap: Baking soda, Zest, Ivory and Dial are great for the skin and contain no oils or fats. To wash your face, turn to products from the Jasons line.

Body Deodorants: Use baking soda deodorants or a Thai stick to keep smelling fresh.

Lotion: Dr. Simeons recommended plain mineral oil, which has no nutritional value. Carefully choose lotions with baby oil, coconut oil, or plain mineral oil based products.

Hair Care: Try products in the Life Extension line, the Aubrey Organics line or the Natures Gate Alovera line for hair care while on the HCG diet plan.

Oral Hygiene Care: turn to the use of baking soda as a natural way of cleaning teeth. You can add hydrogen peroxide if you want to make it into a natural whitening product. Or try Tom’s toothpaste.

Eye Cosmetics: You will want to refrain from the use of mascara while on the HCG diet plan. You can however, have your eyelashes professionally tinted.
